The Castlio Elementary School K-Kids was organized in the Fall of 2023. Mrs. Nichol Ashraf is the faculty advisor for this group and CWS Kiwanis rotate so that different members attend their meetings. This K-Kids Club is 40 members strong and so very enthusiastic to be doing service. Below are pictures from their various events for this school year.
Chalk the Walk Day
The students wrote encouraging messages for Castlio students to see when they walked into school.
October Project: 100 PBJ Sandwiches
K-Kids students made 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, then fed the homeless in Wentzville. They partnered with First Steps Back Home for this project.
Adopt A Family Week
K-Kids raised $3,700 at a donation table at Castlio Elementary School. Then Mrs. Ashraf, their faculty advisor, took the group to Target to spend. Their goal was to stock Sts. Joachim and Ann’s closet for families in need. They purchased essential items, toys, clothes, hygiene items and more. They had 8 car loads of donations when they were finished!
December Project: Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
K-Kids cooked & served breakfast for 100 staff members at Castlio Elementary School. The students cooked eggs, bacon and manned the toasters for bagels and toast.
